


How does the free samples process work?
To obtain free samples from STMicroelectronics you first need to register under http://www.st.com On the ST.com home page, 1/select "Ordering”, 2/select “Free Samples” and follow the procedure as described on the page that will display.
Does STMicroelectronics offer free samples and to all ST.com registered visitors?
Yes, STMicroelectronics offers the free samples service to all requesters, that have completed the registration on http://www.st.com
STMicroelectronics offers a choice of over 2000 selected products to accelerate the design process and to qualify STMicroelectronics’s products in existing designs. The selected products are in ACTIVE status. If the device you are looking for is not available you can buy it online at one of our distributors by clicking on the button next to the product. Should neither be available then we invite you to contact your local ST representative to discuss your project and commonly find a solution.
Why has my samples request been accepted then cancelled or rejected?
STMicroelectronics reserves the right to qualify each request by accepting or rejecting the order without notice. Please be sure to provide a postal address for your order as P.O box deliveries cannot be made and your order will be rejected. Reminder for customers in Brasil, Argentina, Equador and Peru: Please be sure to provide your CNPJ number.
How much do the samples cost?
STMicroelectronics offers a selection of products free of charge that are identified by the icon this includes the shipping costs and customs fees ( in most cases). Please note, for some countries specific local regulations may required that the requestor might have to bear fees or other applicable charges.
Does STMicroelectronics ship samples to every country?
STMicroelectronics intends to provide this service to world wide, however, due to specific export regulations or local import limitations, STMicroelectronics may not be able to fulfill some of the orders. The requestor will then be notified via email of this situation.
How often can I request samples from STMicroelectronics?
Each sample order is limited on the number of products, items and the total number of orders. This limit depends on the product type and your requestor profile. ST has also implemented a security control to block users who abuse of this free service. Please note, STMicroelectronics may refuse any order if it determines to be appropriate.
Why is ST asking information about my end application and project?
There are various reasons for which such information is needed including export regulations, as well as the need to better understand how we can support your project and how our products are being used in order to continuously offer better solutions for your applications.
Can I suggest adding new devices to STMicroelectronics’s free sample program?

How long will it take to ship my samples? If your request has been qualified, ST will send you a shipment notice with all the information related to your order including the UPS carrier tracking number for shipments to all North and South American countries. This tracking number will allow you to follow your request. For all other countries, and/or any other questions related to your free samples request, please use our online Sales service by clicking on the following URL address. http://www.st.com/stonline/domains/support/contact_sales.htm. Usually orders will be shipped within 2 working days after order acceptance.
How long will it take to receive my samples after they are shipped?
The delivery of your package may take between 2 to 5 working days for North and South-America and 6 to 10 days for all other countries. Please note, STMicroelectronics free samples are shipped from the US.
Where can I check my sample order status?
You can check your sample request status by clicking in 'My Order History” available in the related topics of our free samples program and web page. Please note, you have to be logged in to access this information.
Will a ST sales representative contact me?
Yes, you could be contacted by a ST sales representative following up on your request. If needed you can also contact your local ST representative by entering a request on sales support online service or using the contact information located in the Contact Us module.
What should I do if I received the wrong device?
In case you receive the wrong device(s), you do not need to return the part(s) however we invite you to re-enter an order.
