Inside this section you will find everything you need to evaluate ST's semiconductor devices and design your product around them.
Evaluation Tools are organised by Product Evaluation Boards that allow a quick and easy evaluation of a device in a standalone environnment and System Evaluation Boards that allow evaluation of our devices in full system solutions like a power meter, motor drive or solar panel inverter or as a subsystem of an application. In each case a Circuit Schematic, Bill of Materials and PCB layout are available to facilitate their inclusion in your final product.
The Development Tools section includes all the hardware tools available to develop Microcontroller and Embedded Microprocessor solutions: Debugging tools, Programming Tools, Starter Kits and Accessories used to interconnect the tools and the target board.
The Software section is divided into 3 areas: Simulation and CAE Resources contains all the Simulators, CAE models and symbols as well as some calculators that help in assessing battery life, clock accuracy etc. Software Tools contains all the software that is installed and runs on your PC or workstation to configure your target system, develop target software (compile, build and debug tools) and program the target system. Runtime Software contains ready built software that helps accelerate your time to market with code libraries, examples and peripheral drivers, demonstration software, codecs, protocol stacks, operating systems and various pre-built firmware modules for specific functions.
The Third-Party Tool suppliers section complements the above with a directory of 3rd party partners that provide complementary products and tools and the Design Consultants section contains a directory of known experts in the application of certain ST products and/or with particular application expertise.
